Handheld Field Data Terminal

 

 

The Z3-1800 is the foundation of the Tec-Trac workforce product line.  This ruggedized PalmOS™ based handheld terminal has an integrated bar code scanner.  It delivers timely maintenance and work order information to field technicians and collects data real time whit the technician is performing maintenance functions.

 

All data is entered through the web enabled central database or directly into the Z3-1800 handheld terminal.  Paper record keeping is eliminated.  Transcription errors are reduced and hundreds f man hours are saved by not having to compile paper records.

 

The information stored on the Z3-1800 is a subset of the data in the Z3PM, Z3CLI and Z3VM databases.  If records in any registered Z3-1800 or the web enabled database is changed, all the other terminals are updated through a regular synchronization process.  Timely and accurate data is available to both the field workforce and management.

Z3PM

Power Supply Maintenance

 

Z3PM provides comprehensive tracking, scheduling and reporting of a cable system’s standby power supplies and batteries.  ZP3M is a back end database that works in conjunction with one or more Z3-1800 Field Data Terminals.  Each power supply is entered into the database along with installation dates, vendor information and location.  Every time a technician visits the power supply, information is recorded on the Z3-1800 and subsequently downloaded to Z3PM.  A record of every maintenance visit is kept along with the data and time, the ID of the technician who performed the visit and any corrective actions taken.

 

 

 

  • Power consumption of each power supply and utility information can be used in negotiation with power providers.

Z3CLI

Leakage Maintenance Application

 

 

Z3CLI is used for tracking and repair of system leaks.  The Z3CLI database maintains a complete record of every leak report, each work order issued, status of work orders, corrective actions taken, staff member credentials and equipment calibration.  Data from popular CLI recording systems can be directly imported into the Z3CLI database.

 

In the field, technicians use the Z3-1800 to enter real time data on leak related field activity.  This data is then synchronized with the master Z3CLI database when the technician returns from the field.

 

Manual record keeping is eliminated, saving hundreds of man hours and increasing the effectiveness of you leak maintenance program.  Quarterly compliance reports can be generated eliminating time consuming manual completion of FCC Forms.
